We had bought a gorgeous home in Monument with stunning views and no window coverings in the kitchen and were being blinded by the winter sun and a little concerned about our gorgeous wood floors. The Window Covering Gallery gave us some wonderful options to allow light to filter in while shielding us (and the floors) from the CO winter sun. I absolutely LOVE my roller shades - they look like they were made for the space and they are functionally amazing! Thank you Nicole and Team!

My wife setup our first appointment with Nicole in the fall of 2021. My wife wanted us to replace our old 20+ year old shades. I was reluctant about this; I didn’t see any need too. I do love gadgets, and when my wife said ok to getting smart shades, I was onboard. Our next big hurtle was agreeing on a pattern and color. Being seriously colorblind, I was a hard guy to please. But Nicole patiently listened to what we both wanted. She responded to my many questions about the roller shades (I really like the design of them), how reliable they were, warranty, hubs, remotes, linking to Alexa, etc. She had the right info with her. I was impressed. Then she walked us through light filtering vs light blocking. We liked the idea of light blocking in the bedrooms. She guided Sherrie through selecting the color/pattern of the shades. Then they showed me what they had in mind. By the time she left, she had all the measurements and info to make an estimate for us. We signed a contract for our 1st floor windows. She left us with some samples of what we choose and some others so we could compare and confirm what we wanted. She had a very detailed quote to us the next day I belive. With all the shipping delays we live with these days; we were surprised when she called us 4 weeks later (as she had predicted) that the shades were ready. She scheduled her installer, Mike, within a few days. While Mike was doing the installation, Nicole let me watch and then try setting up the shades to the remote control, our smartphones, and our Amazon Alexa. It was a really fun time for me. It was a joy working with both of them. I was having to much fun, but I think he installed all the shades in about 2 hours. Impressive. We had a couple hiccups. One of the shades had a couple small holes in it which they replaced. An accidental color mistake on 2 of the shades which she reordered before we knew there was a problem. They suggested & we were tickled that they installed them anyway and then replaced them when the right ones came in. I meant David (another installer) when he came out with these replacements. Another fun day. I had a lot of questions from playing with the shades which he patiently showed me more. My wife and I are retired. We’ve been homeowners for over 50 years. This has been the easiest experience with professional contractors that we’ve ever experienced. We are very pleased with the quality products and service we received. Costs? We had a few other quotes from other businesses. Nicole’s motorized products won me over along with the genuine effort she went through to make sure we were both happy. As a retired Engineer, I appreciate simple and well-designed products. We’d recommend her for any shades / home improvement. Dean, in Monument

Frequently Asked Questions About Window Blinds

Window blinds are coverings made of horizontal or vertical slats that can be adjusted to control the amount of light and privacy in a room. They can be made of various materials such as wood, vinyl, metal, or fabric with wood blinds being the most popular.

There are several types of window blinds available, including:

  • Wood blinds: made of horizontal slats that can be tilted to control light and privacy.
  • Vertical blinds: made of vertical fabric slats that can be rotated to control light and privacy.
  • Roman shades: made of fabric and can be raised or lowered to control light and privacy.
  • Roller shades: made of fabric or other material that can be rolled up or down to control light and privacy.
  • Cellular shades: made of pleated fabric that forms honeycomb-shaped cells to provide insulation and light control.

The beautiful thing about working with Window Covering Gallery is that we will come and measure your windows for you. With so many options for each of the different products, you are better off letting us measure so you are sure to get the exact right size product. We visit your home and measure free of charge.

There is no right or wrong window blinds for your home. It is a matter of personal taste. That being said, when you invite Window Covering Gallery into your home for a free consultation, we will show you your options, explain the pros and cons of each, and make suggestions that you might not have thought of. Then together with our designer, you’ll be better informed to make your choice.

All of the window blinds that we sell are made to order to ensure a perfect fit for your window.

When you order from Window Covering Gallery, you don’t have to install your window blinds. We send out a professional installer to install your window blinds and any other window coverings you purchased.

The best way to clean window blinds depends on the type of blinds you have. Here are some general tips:

For dust and light dirt, use a feather duster or a soft cloth to wipe each slat.

For heavier dirt and grime, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe each slat.

For metal or vinyl blinds, you can also use a mild soap solution and a soft-bristled brush to clean each slat.

For fabric blinds, you can vacuum them to get the dust off. But if they haven’t been vacuumed and they need more attention, call us here at Window Covering Gallery. We offer professional cleaning services.

The lifespan of window blinds can vary depending on the quality of the blinds, how often they are used, and how well they are maintained. Generally, wood and faux wood blinds can last for 5-10 years, while vinyl and aluminum blinds can last for 3-5 years. However, with proper care and maintenance, many blinds can last much longer.

Window blinds offer several benefits, including:

Light control: Blinds can be adjusted to control the amount of light that enters a room, which can help to reduce glare and protect furniture and floors from fading.

Privacy: Blinds can be adjusted to provide privacy from neighbors or passersby.

Energy efficiency: Some types of blinds, such as cellular shades, can provide insulation and help to reduce energy costs.

Style: Blinds come in a wide range of styles, colors, and materials, allowing you to choose a look that complements your decor.

Ease of maintenance: Most blinds are easy to clean and maintain, which can save time and money in the long run.

Perfect for layering: to control light in your room you may want window blinds but to dress up your room you may decide that draperies or a cornice are in order. Window blinds layer perfectly with other window treatment options.

Motorized window blinds are blinds with a motor which means that they can be operated using a remote control or a smart home device. In Colorado with our grand two-story homes with window walls, motorized blinds are a must for windows that cannot be reached from the ground.

Motorized blinds offer several benefits, such as:

Convenience: You can open and close your blinds without having to get up from your seat or use cords or strings.

Safety: Motorized blinds are cordless, which reduces the risk of entanglement for children and pets.

Energy efficiency: Motorized blinds can be programmed to open and close at specific times of the day, which can help regulate temperature and reduce energy costs.

Accessibility: Motorized blinds can be controlled by people with limited mobility, making it easier for them to adjust the blinds as needed.
